“On behalf of the Division, welcome to our Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children.”

Our fellowship offers a full portfolio of subspecialty expertise, whilst maintaining a high profile in research and teaching.

Our website will provide you with a comprehensive review of the opportunities available in terms of operative scope, weekly rounds and clinics, both at SickKids and Holland Bloorview along with outreach clinics. The specific clinical and research interests of each of the Staff are featured along with details of the organization of the rotations, on-call and research expectations.

There is a housekeeping section on important issues such as on-call, professional and personal leave, Canadian work permits and licensure which are best read at your very earliest convenience.

On a lighter note, details of our social programme are included with a family ski day being one of the highlights.

There is a full diary of the major academic events of the year at SickKids and with the Division of Orthopaedics at the University of Toronto.

Our Fellows hail from around the world, recently including the UK, Germany, Turkey, India, Nigeria, Egypt, the US and Canada. On the “where are they now” page, you can see our extensive worldwide alumni network, known as the Salter Society, who continue to support each other after their leave SickKids and enjoy the opportunity to reconnect every year at the POSNA meeting at our Salter Society reunion.

The Sick Kids Orthopaedic Fellowship provides the very best experience for the future leaders in children’s orthopaedics.

We look forward to meeting you!

— Dr. Maryse Bouchard  Fellowship Director, Division of Orthopaedics
